Menopause Skin Treatments in Sutton Coldfield
Skin changes through perimenopause and menopause are normal — and they are worth taking seriously. At DZ Beauty we offer considered, consultation-first support for drier, less firm or more sensitive skin, without pressure to do more than you want to.
What Happens to Your Skin During Menopause
Oestrogen plays a quiet but important role in skin health. As levels fall through perimenopause and into menopause, the skin gradually produces less collagen and retains less moisture. Over time, that can show as dryness, a loss of firmness along the jaw and cheeks, fine lines that linger, and skin that feels more reactive or sensitive than it once did.
None of this is a problem to be fixed overnight, and we will never pretend otherwise. What we can do is help your skin feel comfortable, hydrated and supported — with treatments chosen for your skin, at a pace that suits you.
Most clients find a small, consistent plan works far better than doing everything at once. We will be honest about what is likely to help, and equally honest when something is not the right step.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does menopause affect the skin?
As oestrogen falls through perimenopause and menopause, the skin makes less collagen and holds less moisture. Many women notice increased dryness, a loss of firmness, more visible fine lines, and skin that feels more sensitive or reactive than it used to. These changes are gradual and entirely normal — and there is a great deal that considered skincare and treatment can do to support skin comfort and quality.
Which treatments help menopausal skin at DZ Beauty?
There is no single answer — it depends on your skin and what is bothering you. Hydrating skin boosters and polynucleotides support skin quality and firmness from within; microneedling encourages the skin’s own renewal; facials and LED help restore comfort and hydration to a dry or sensitive barrier; and anti-wrinkle injections can soften expression lines where appropriate. We begin with a consultation and build a plan around you, rather than recommending everything at once.
Can I start treatments during perimenopause?
Yes. Many of our clients come to us during perimenopause, when skin changes often first appear. Your practitioner takes a full history and tailors any treatment to where you are, so there is no need to wait until menopause itself.
Do you treat menopause itself, or prescribe HRT?
No. We support the skin through menopause — we are not a substitute for medical care. For menopause symptoms, HRT, or hormonal advice, please speak to your GP. If your concern is the look, comfort and quality of your skin, that is where we can help.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, and there is no pressure to book anything on the day. A consultation lets us understand your skin, your history, and your goals, and explain honestly what is — and isn’t — likely to help. Our approach is no pressure, no sell.
Is there any downtime?
It depends on the treatment. Facials and LED have no downtime; microneedling and injectables may involve a short period of redness. We explain exactly what to expect, and how to plan around any events, before you decide on anything.
